Victims’ Rights Advisor Arrested in Quintana Roo on Domestic Violence Charges
Chetumal, Quintana Roo — Police arrested a legal advisor for the state’s Executive Commission for Victim Assistance (CEAVEQROO) on a warrant for alleged domestic violence against his former partner.
Víctor Amed C.P. was taken into custody by investigative police officers as he left a hearing at the oral courts in Chetumal. The arrest warrant was issued by a control judge at the request of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office of the Women’s Justice Center, as part of investigation file 73/2026.
After the arrest, the public servant was handed over to judicial authorities. The Public Prosecutor’s Office has filed charges, and a judge will determine his legal status as the criminal proceedings continue.
CEAVEQROO, the agency responsible for providing support, legal counsel, and accompaniment to victims of crime and human rights violations, has not yet issued an official statement regarding the arrest of its legal advisor.
