Local Singers Take the Stage in La Voz Puerto Aventuras Semifinal

La Voz de Puerto Avenuras Semifinals

Puerto Aventuras, Quintana Roo — Local talent was in the spotlight Friday, July 3, as La Voz Puerto Aventuras 2026 held its semifinal round at the Plaza Cívica of the Puerto Aventuras Alcaldía.

Now in its second edition, the community singing competition was organized by the Alcaldía de Puerto Aventuras and the Third Council Office as a family-friendly cultural event designed to celebrate local voices and artistic expression. The contest invited children, teens, and adults from Puerto Aventuras to perform as soloists or duos, with songs accepted in any musical genre as long as the lyrics did not include obscene language.

The competition includes two divisions: a children’s category for ages 6 to 11 and an open category for participants ages 12 and up. Contestants are judged by music professionals on intonation, rhythm, clarity, and stage presence. Prizes will be awarded in both categories, with 3,000 pesos for first place, 2,000 pesos for second, and 1,000 pesos for third, plus surprise gifts.

The semifinal was promoted locally as an evening for residents to come out and support their favorite performers, with the event scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Social media posts from Informativo Puerto Aventuras encouraged the community to attend and cheer on the contestants.

The competition now moves toward its grand final on Friday, July 10, at 5:30 p.m., also at the Plaza Cívica.

For Puerto Aventuras, the event adds another community-centered cultural activity to the local calendar, giving young performers and adult singers alike a chance to step onto the stage in front of their neighbors.
