Chetumal, Quintana Roo — A low-pressure channel will bring isolated showers to Quintana Roo, with rainfall amounts between 0.1 and 5 millimeters and maximum temperatures reaching 30 to 35 degrees Celsius, the National Meteorological Service (SMN) reported.
The forecast for the Yucatan Peninsula calls for partly to mostly cloudy skies, with a chance of isolated showers in Campeche and no rain expected in Yucatan.
Morning conditions will be mild with possible fog banks, while the afternoon will be warm. Winds from the east and northeast will range from 10 to 20 km/h across the region, with gusts of 30 to 50 km/h in Campeche and Yucatan.
Another low-pressure channel over southeastern Mexico, combined with moisture from the Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, and Caribbean Sea, will produce isolated showers in that region as well as in southern areas and the Yucatan Peninsula.
Meanwhile, an upper-level high-pressure system will maintain stable and warm to hot conditions across much of Mexico. Northerly winds of 20 to 30 km/h with gusts of 50 to 70 km/h will persist over the Isthmus and Gulf of Tehuantepec.
