RIVIERA MAYA, Quintana Roo — Mexico may not have reached the quarterfinals, but Grupo Xcaret says it will still recognize fans who believed the national team could make it there.
After Mexico’s 2026 World Cup run ended with a 3-2 loss to England, Grupo Xcaret announced that people who had registered for its World Cup promotion will receive a 50% discount on admission to participating Grupo Xcaret parks. The original promotion offered up to 150,000 free tickets if Mexico advanced to the quarterfinals. Although that condition was not met, the company said it would still extend a special benefit to those who registered on time through the official promotion.
The original registration was an online promotion open to Mexican citizens. Xcaret’s official promotion page stated that participation required registration through the official landing page and that each person could register only once. The original free-ticket offer was limited to 150,000 valid registrations and was tied to Mexico qualifying for the quarterfinals.
Now, instead of free admission, registered participants will be eligible for a 50% discount that can be used at one of the following parks: Xcaret, Xel-Há, Xplor, Xplor Fuego, Xenses or Xoximilco. Local reports say the benefit will be valid from July 8, 2026, through July 31, 2027, subject to availability, blackout dates and special event restrictions.
According to Grupo Xcaret’s original terms for the promotion, restricted dates included the Festival of Life and Death, the December 2026 high season, Semana Santa 2027 and the period of the Travesía Sagrada 2027. The original promotion also made clear that benefits were subject to daily availability limits.
Luis Carlos Velázquez, Grupo Xcaret’s corporate marketing director, said the company wanted to recognize the excitement, hope and unity generated by Mexico’s World Cup participation. The company framed the discount as a thank-you to fans who registered and supported the national team during the tournament.
For Quintana Roo residents, the discount may be even higher. Xcaret already offers special pricing for residents of the state, and its official FAQ says residents must present valid identification showing Quintana Roo residency, such as an INE, driver’s license or FM2/FM3. For minors, a school ID or report card with photo and Quintana Roo address may be required.
How to validate the offer
This part is important: the discount will not be handled directly at the park ticket window for people who simply show up. Registered participants should watch the email address they used when signing up for the original World Cup promotion. According to local reports, Xcaret is contacting eligible participants by email with instructions and the contact center information needed to request and reserve the discount.
Anyone who registered should check their inbox, spam folder and promotions folder for a message from Xcaret. Before making any payment or sharing personal information, participants should confirm they are dealing with Grupo Xcaret through official channels. Xcaret’s own website lists its customer service numbers as 998-883-3143 from Mexico and 1-855-326-0682 from the U.S. and Canada.
Readers who did not register for the World Cup promotion should not expect to receive this special 50% benefit. However, Xcaret does maintain other discounts, including a regular promotion for Mexican nationals using the PROMOMEX code and special pricing for Quintana Roo residents with valid proof of residency.
For those who did register: do not go directly to the park expecting the discount to be applied at the gate. Check your email, follow the official reservation instructions, confirm the details through Xcaret’s contact center if needed, and make sure your ID matches the requirements before planning your visit.
