Tulum, Quintana Roo — The Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office has activated a search alert for Michelle Boonen, a foreign woman last seen on May 2 in the municipality of Tulum.

The disappearance was formally reported to authorities on May 6, prompting the issuance of an Alba Protocol alert — number 34/FDC/2026 — which seeks public assistance to locate her.

According to the prosecutor’s office, Boonen is of foreign nationality, with fair skin and a slim build. She has medium-length brown hair, dark brown eyes, stands approximately 1.62 meters (5 feet 4 inches) tall, and weighs around 50 kilograms (110 pounds). No distinguishing marks or details about the clothing she was wearing at the time of her disappearance have been reported.

Authorities stated that Boonen was last seen in Tulum on May 2, 2026, and is currently classified as unlocated under the General Law on Forced Disappearance of Persons and Disappearance Committed by Individuals.

Officials urge anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact the State Prosecutor’s Office at 998 881 7150, extension 2130, or the Quintana Roo missing persons unit.
