Cancún — Quintana Roo has become the first state in the country to launch the Mobile Homologated Police Report (Informe Policial Homologado Móvil), a digital tool that modernizes police work and strengthens citizen security through the use of technology and interoperability between the three levels of government.

Streamlined Field Reporting

Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa led the official presentation of the new system, which will allow security personnel to record their field operations more quickly and accurately using an electronic tablet across the state's 11 municipalities.

She emphasized that this tool represents "joining hands with the public policy of our President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, and in this way, Quintana Roo becomes the first state to be connected to the national detention registry system and the Plataforma México."

The Governor added that it provides the opportunity to continue strengthening actions for transparency, the fight against corruption, and modernization or digitalization.

400 Officers Already Trained

In a video message, the Executive Secretary of the National Public Security System, Marcela Figueroa Franco, expressed her recognition of Governor Mara Lezama for the work she is doing to build peace in Quintana Roo, which is reflected in a 68% reduction in homicides.

During the presentation, the Secretary of Citizen Security, Julio César Gómez Torres, explained that the Mobile IPH is a digital tool that simplifies and speeds up the recording of police actions, guarantees due process, and improves the quality of information for intelligence and security. He reported that 400 officers are already trained to use this technology.

He informed that previously, preparing a report could take up to 24 hours, whereas with this new technology, the time is reduced to approximately one hour, "avoiding delays, strengthening compliance with the law, and combating corruption," he stated.

Capability for Photos, Videos, and Geolocation

Adrián Martínez Ortega underscored that the platform, developed by the Executive Secretariat of the State Citizen Security System to optimize operational work and driven by the National System, allows for the addition of photographs, videos, and geographic location, which reinforces transparency and generates reliable information for decision-making.

Regarding this, Governor Mara Lezama stated that "for those of us who are part of the Fourth Transformation, combating corruption and impunity is a profound conviction."

She thanked the presence of the municipal presidents and the armed forces, reflecting the importance and dedication that together they place on building peace to improve the quality of life of human beings with the support of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.

The system connects the 11 municipalities with the state government and the federation, linking directly with Plataforma México, which places Quintana Roo at the national forefront of police modernization, asserted the Governor.

Among its benefits are improved emergency response, optimized patrols, real-time coordination between authorities, and the ability to generate reports directly from the scene of events.

Building a Modern Police Force

Mara Lezama emphasized that the implementation of the Mobile IPH is part of the professionalization process of the state's police forces. "We are building a modern, prepared, honest police force that is close to the citizens," she assured.

Finally, she reiterated that this advancement is part of the New Agreement for the Well-being and Development of Quintana Roo, whose objective is to guarantee peace, justice, and security for the benefit of the people of Quintana Roo. "Our strength lies in the fact that together we are building a strong and peaceful Quintana Roo," concluded the Governor.
