Five Suspects Face Drug Charges After Playa del Carmen Raid
Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — Five people have been formally charged with drug offenses following a police operation in the Villas del Sol neighborhood, the Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office announced.
A judge ordered the suspects — identified as Misael Antonio “N,” Rudy Emanuel “N,” Jair “N,” Emilio Gabriel “N,” and Sherlin “N” — to stand trial on charges related to drug dealing.
According to the investigation, the arrests occurred near a property at the intersection of Fragata Street and CTM Avenue, where state investigators were executing a search warrant. Officers observed the suspects allegedly exchanging packages containing what appeared to be narcotics. A subsequent search yielded multiple doses of illegal substances.
The court ruled that Misael Antonio “N,” Rudy Emanuel “N,” and Sherlin “N” will face charges for simple drug possession. Jair “N” and Emilio Gabriel “N” face the same charge but were ordered held in pretrial detention while the case proceeds.
