Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — The Women’s Institute of Playa del Carmen will host a series of free activities throughout July at its Violet Points, spaces designed to provide psychological support, legal advice, and tools for women’s well-being and empowerment.

Institute director Idania Gamboa said the initiative is part of a strategy to bring specialized services to the city’s neighborhoods, strengthen violence prevention, and ensure women have access to timely information and support.

On July 10, the Violet Point at La Guadalupana will host a talk titled “Child support, custody, and divorce: The ABC of your legal tools.”

The schedule also includes a gender-perspective film discussion on July 16 at Villamar II, a talk called “The art of emotions” on July 22 at Nueva Creación, and a workshop on “Self-care: Breaking myths, strengthening health” on July 23 at the Specialized Center for Comprehensive Care of Family Violence (CECOVIM).

On July 24, the Violet Point at Las Flores will offer a talk on “The three pillars of mental health” in coordination with the Youth Integration Center, and on July 28, the Colosio Violet Point will host a workshop titled “What story did I tell myself?”

The Women’s Institute emphasized that Violet Points continue to serve as safe spaces where women can receive legal guidance, psychological care, and specialized support, as well as participate in activities focused on personal and community development.
