Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo — The municipal government of Isla Mujeres, led by Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde, has announced the opening of registration for the 2026 Summer Course aimed at local youth aged 12 to 16.

The program is designed to provide a safe space for healthy coexistence, learning, and recreation during the school break. Participants will engage in sports, recreational, and cultural activities that promote teamwork, integration, and the development of new skills.

Registration will take place from July 13 to 17. Interested parties can sign up at the Sports Department office in the Salina neighborhood from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or at the La Gloria Community Center from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The summer course will run from July 20 to August 14, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Domo Verde facility.

To register, applicants must present a valid ID of the parent or guardian, the participant’s updated CURP (Unique Population Registry Code), a recent utility bill (no older than three months), and a birth certificate.

The cost is 300 pesos (approximately $16 USD), and space is limited. Officials encourage families to register early.
