Cancun’s ‘Day of the People’ Offers Over 130 Services and Discounts

People gathered at a municipal event in Cancun offering services and discounts

Cancun, Quintana Roo — Hundreds of residents took advantage of discounts and free services at the municipal “Day of the People” event held at the Jose Maria Morelos “Toro Valenzuela” sports unit dome.

The city government offered more than 130 procedures and services, including significant discounts on property tax payments and construction regularization.

Property Tax Discounts Through September

The Revenue Department reported that benefits for regularizing property tax payments will remain in effect until September 30. Incentives include a 50% discount on surcharges, a 100% discount on fines, and the option to pay only the last five years of debt.

Construction Regularization and Personalized Attention

Officials also provided guidance on the Construction Regularization Program, aimed at property owners who made additions or modifications to homes or businesses and need to complete the legal process. Acting Municipal President Landy Guadalupe Canche Pantoja held public hearings to listen to residents’ requests and directed each case to the appropriate department.

Free Services for Families

Municipal agencies offered free medical consultations, pet vaccination and deworming, birth certificate issuance, wheelchair distribution, a job bank, haircuts, a mobile store, and other social support services.

Next Event on July 23

The city government invited residents to the next edition of the Day of the People on Thursday, July 23, at the Municipal Palace. The program rotates between different Cancun neighborhoods and the Municipal Palace to bring public services to more residents.
