ViveStorage Breaks Ground on Cancún Home Depot Location, TVS Motor Opens First Dealership

Cancún, Quintana Roo — ViveStorage, a Mexican self-storage company, broke ground Saturday on its ninth branch, ViveStorage Cancún 2 – Home Depot, while Indian motorcycle maker TVS Motor opened its first dealership in the city.

ViveStorage Expands With Home Depot Alliance

The groundbreaking ceremony for ViveStorage Cancún 2 – Home Depot marked the start of a partnership between ViveStorage and The Home Depot. The alliance initially includes two locations: Cancún 2 and Monterrey – Gonzalitos, both to be built at Home Depot sites.

ViveStorage, which began operations in 2023, has developed a network of nine branches across Cancún, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey and Querétaro. The company said its facilities represent about 20,000 square meters of rentable space and 2,500 mini-warehouses. It expects to end 2026 with 10 branches and has set a goal of reaching 30 branches and 50,000 square meters over the next two years.

The partnership with Home Depot is designed to appeal to customers who buy materials, tools, furniture or equipment and may need nearby storage, while self-storage users can find Home Depot a natural supplier for their projects.

ViveWork and Business Storage Hub

ViveStorage has also introduced ViveWork, a flexible office concept offering desks, private offices, meeting rooms, reception, connectivity and services for businesses. In addition, its Business Storage Hub (BSH) combines storage, workspace, last-mile logistics and a business community in a single physical ecosystem. The BSH model includes four components: storage and operations, work and management, distribution, and structured business networking via events such as BSH Fridays.

The self-storage market in Mexico is expected to grow significantly. Grand View Research estimates revenue of US$1,588.9 million in 2026, rising to US$2,676.6 million by 2033, with a compound annual growth rate of 7.7%. The research firm identifies Mexico as the fastest-growing self-storage market in North America.

ViveStorage has been a member of the Mexican Self Storage Association (AMDAAC) since 2023. The company is part of Grupo Viverent, a real estate group with operations in Mexico, the United States, Spain and Colombia, more than 35 buildings and projects, over 800 residential doors and more than 300 rented properties.

TVS Motor Opens First Cancún Dealership

TVS Motor inaugurated its first Cancún dealership on Avenida Yaxchilán, offering motorcycles it describes as combining design, innovation, quality, durability and competitive pricing.

“This dealership has a national presence. Come experience TVS, there are purchase facilities,” said Alejandro Puerto, operational manager of TVS Cancún.

The dealership is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. With the slogan “TVS, the new way to move in Cancún,” the brand aims to position itself as an accessible and technology-driven mobility option in the city.
