Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo — Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde joined young island residents at the Color Run on Saturday, a community event organized by the DIF Isla Mujeres and the municipal Youth Directorate to encourage healthy living and positive use of public spaces.
The course started at Parque Las Hormiguitas and ended at Casa del Adulto Mayor on Avenida Paseo de las Aves. Participants, including families, completed the route amid music and color before celebrations continued at the finish line with dancing and recreational activities.
The event also marked the close of the summer PANNAR program, featuring an exhibition by students from its DJ and photography workshops.
Gómez said her administration will continue creating spaces for young people to develop their talents, learn, and actively participate in the community.
