Cancún, Quintana Roo — Cancún captured national and international attention with a record-breaking drone show that lit up the sky over Marina Puerto Cancún. The event featured 1,250 drones in an unprecedented aerial display, setting a new national record.
The free show combined technology, innovation, and high-level entertainment, transforming the night sky into a canvas of lights and shapes that amazed the dozens of families who gathered for a unique evening. The event also reinforced Cancún’s image as a leading tourism and innovation destination in Mexico.
Among the most striking formations were a giant dolphin, the word “Cancún,” and the silhouette of a soccer player — images that quickly became the stars of photos and videos shared on social media.
Governor Mara Lezama highlighted that such events strengthen Quintana Roo’s international projection, blending creativity, technological development, and tourism promotion. She shared images of the spectacle that reflected the atmosphere of coexistence and enthusiasm during a night that has already become part of the destination’s recent history.
