Aguascalientes, Mexico — The restoration of the route between Aguascalientes International Airport (AGU) and Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) will not only connect the state with the Valley of Mexico but also expand service to Cancun and bring back a strategic route to Monterrey that was lost after TAR Aerolíneas ceased operations.

Thanks to an express layover system at AIFA, passengers can travel to these destinations without leaving the aircraft. The new flights, operated by Viva Aerobus, are scheduled as follows:

  • Cancun – Aguascalientes (express layover at AIFA): Flight VB7314, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays. Departure 1:40 p.m., arrival 4:45 p.m.
  • Aguascalientes – Cancun (express layover at AIFA): Flight VB7315, same days. Departure 5:25 p.m., arrival 10:35 p.m.
  • Monterrey – Aguascalientes (express layover at AIFA): Flight VB7070, Thursdays and Sundays. Departure 2:45 p.m., arrival 5:55 p.m.
  • Aguascalientes – Monterrey (express layover at AIFA): Flight VB7071, Thursdays and Sundays. Departure 6:30 p.m., arrival 9:55 p.m.

This announcement follows the confirmation of two other new direct flights operated by Volaris to Puerto Vallarta and Puebla, which are already on sale and will begin operating on June 2.
