Mexico Unveils New Third Kit for 2026 World Cup

Mexico City — The Mexican national soccer team has officially unveiled its new third kit for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, developed in collaboration with adidas. The jersey features a modern design with visual references tied to Mexican identity.

The uniform is part of a concept called “The Mexican Wa(y)ve,” which aims to represent the unity of Mexican fans at home and abroad during the upcoming World Cup.

The shirt is predominantly black, with green details on the collar and sleeves, and the classic adidas three stripes in colors inspired by the Mexican flag. One of the most striking elements is the return of the adidas trefoil logo, a symbol the brand has revived for some of its most iconic collections.

The design also incorporates patterns with the letters “MX” distributed across the garment, as well as the phrase “Somos México” (We Are Mexico), a motto that forms part of the graphic identity for the national team’s World Cup kits.

The new jersey will be worn by El Tri in various matches leading up to the tournament and is part of the commercial and visual strategy ahead of the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by Mexico, the United States, and Canada.

The kit’s presentation has generated positive reactions among fans and social media users, who have praised the color combination and the understated style that will accompany the Mexican team on its World Cup journey.
