Three Suspected Drug Dealers Arrested in Tulum, Including Colombian and Taxi Driver
Tulum, Quintana Roo — Authorities arrested three people, including a Colombian national and a taxi driver, during an anti-drug operation in Tulum, officials said.
The suspects were identified as Cristian Muriel “N,” alias “El Cris,” 35, from Colombia; Abel “N,” 53, from Tabasco; and María Araceli “N,” 24, from Bacalar.
The operation was led by the Tulum Public Security and Citizen Protection Department in coordination with the State Prosecutor’s Office and the Mexican Army, as part of the Security Roundtable efforts.
During the operation, officers seized 120 doses of suspected narcotics, a package containing approximately 250 grams of green vegetation resembling marijuana, two portable two-way radios, and a Nissan V-Drive vehicle operating as a public taxi.
The three detainees, along with the drugs, vehicle, and other items, were handed over to the State Prosecutor’s Office, which will continue the investigation and determine their legal status.
