Surfer from Quintana Roo wins silver at National Olympics

Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit — Quintana Roo surfer Ludriq Atreyu Delgado Valdez won a silver medal at the CONADE National Olympics 2026, held in Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit.

Delgado Valdez competed in the Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Sprint Race under-18 category, where he demonstrated technical skill and physical strength. The event featured challenging wind and wave conditions, as well as a high level of competition.

The athlete maintained a steady pace and effective strategy throughout the race, finishing in second place to secure the silver medal for Quintana Roo’s delegation.

His achievement reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen sports in the state, supported by the Quintana Roo Sports Commission (CODEQ), which promotes athlete preparation.

Earlier, the Quintana Roo tennis team also won a bronze medal at the CONADE National Olympics in Puebla.
