Quintana Roo Judo Team Wins Six Medals on Opening Day of CONADE 2026 National Olympiad
Mérida, Yucatán — Quintana Roo’s judo team opened the CONADE 2026 National Olympiad with a golden start, securing three gold and three bronze medals on the first day of competition at the Poliforum Zamna in Mérida, Yucatán.
The state’s sports commission, CODEQ, led by Jacobo Arzate Hop, reported that six of the seven Quintana Roo competitors who took the mat on Saturday earned medals.
Sofía Molina Mayo claimed the first gold of the day, defeating her opponent from Yucatán with strong technique. Dayanna Loeza followed with a second gold, narrowly beating a rival from Baja California in a close final. Dylan Itzia secured the third gold by overcoming Jorge Pérez of Nuevo León in the final match.
Bronze medals went to Jade González Hoil in the over-70 kg division, Maximiliano Vázquez in the 40 kg category, and Christopher Vázquez in the 45 kg category.
Quintana Roo reached a total of 99 medals in the overall standings.
