Cancún, Quintana Roo — The LGBTQ+ community in Quintana Roo is preparing for a series of marches and events across the state as part of the “Pride Route 2026,” an initiative by Cancún Pride aimed at promoting diversity and advancing the fight for equality.

Fernando Manzur, president of Cancún Pride, confirmed that activities will continue over the coming months with marches, gatherings, and community events in various cities under the slogan “One state, many voices, one fight.” The goal, he said, is to strengthen the presence of the diverse community throughout Quintana Roo and promote discrimination-free spaces.

The agenda kicked off this month in Cancún and will continue on May 23 in Lázaro Cárdenas. In June, simultaneous mobilizations are scheduled for Isla Mujeres and José María Morelos on June 6, followed by Puerto Morelos on June 13, Cozumel on June 20, Puerto Aventuras on June 27, and Playa del Carmen on June 28, the date internationally recognized as Pride Day.

The activities will conclude on July 4 in Felipe Carrillo Puerto, though organizers said additional cultural and social events may be added in other locations. This weekend, events will also reach Holbox, where participation from visitors and local groups is expected.

Cancún Pride emphasized that the route aims not only to celebrate diversity but also to raise awareness about human rights, inclusion, and respect for all identities. Organizers invited the public to check the dates, share information, and join the marches through social media.
