Feria del Carmen 2025 Kicks Off July 10 With Free Music, Food & Fun

Feria del Carmen 2025 Playa del Carmen

Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — From July 10 to 17, locals and tourists will gather in Playa del Carmen’s Plaza  28  de Julio to honor the Virgen del Carmen with the annual Feria del Carmen. The diverse program blends religious rituals, fairground rides, artisan stalls, regional cuisine, and a lineup of free headline concerts.

Award-winning reggaetón artist El Malilla will open the festival on July 11 at 9 p.m., promising a lively start. Singer Bobby  Pulido takes the stage at the same hour on July 12, followed by the dynamic rock band Molotov on July 15, also at 9 p.m. These headline acts are part of a schedule crafted by Municipal President Estefanía Mercado to provide a vibrant and inclusive event.

Each day, the fair offers daytime fun for families—amusement rides, contests, and cultural performances—alongside an evening mix of live music, dance, and religious ceremonies rooted in devotion to the patron saint. Opening hours begin at 10 a.m. and extend into the night, with full details to be published via the city government’s official social media.

While Plaza 28 de Julio is the cultural and concert hub, entertainment extends across the city with additional food stalls, artisan vendors, and kid-friendly zones. The fair echoes a long-standing tradition: Playa del Carmen’s founding community was saved at sea, leading to its dedication to the Virgen del Carmen. Annual celebrations include parades and the raising of her image, culminating in a flag ceremony and tribute performances .

By blending spiritual reflection, community activities, and big-name performances, Feria del Carmen offers something for every visitor. Its free entry reflects the local government’s goal of promoting public access to cultural life and strengthening community ties. Concerts begin nightly at 9 p.m. in Plaza 28 de Julio but are only part of a broader schedule that appeals to families, regional tourists, and music lovers alike.

Plan your visit early—Plaza 28 de Julio fills fast—and don’t miss this week-long celebration that captures Playa del Carmen’s community spirit, cultural roots, and festive energy.
