Santa María Avenue in Leona Vicario is set to undergo a significant transformation following seven years of neglect. The project, which is backed by an investment of nearly 17 million pesos, was announced by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa and the municipal president of Puerto Morelos, Blanca Merari Tziu.
The upgrade aims to enhance both vehicular and pedestrian traffic conditions, fostering a safer and more efficient environment for local residents.
The project will involve the application of 11,248 m² of asphalt concrete, an upgrade of horizontal and vertical signage, and the enhancement of public lighting. In addition to this, a further 10 million pesos will be invested in the construction of domes in schools, and 11 million pesos for the expansion of the Puerto Morelos Distance Unit.
This transformation is a testament to the government's dedication to the development of underprivileged communities. It is expected to significantly improve safety and quality of life for the residents of Leona Vicario.
