The handover process in Puerto Aventuras is currently underway, according to Mayor Gilberto Gómez. Unlike in other municipalities, Gómez's term will not conclude with the end of the current administration this month, but will continue until December.
Gómez clarified that due to the timing of the mayoralty's establishment, his term will run three months longer than the Solidaridad government's term. He stated that the primary task at hand is to pass on all relevant administrative information to the incoming team.
Gómez also mentioned that there have been preliminary discussions with the incoming administration's team. He emphasized the importance of this transition process in ensuring smooth coordination during the final months of his term.
