Puerto Aventuras, Quintana Roo — The Barceló Grand Resort Puerto Aventuras has opened 80 positions across guest services, kitchen, maintenance and entertainment, the hotel’s human resources recruiter Joan Osorio said.
The openings cover reception, guest services, housekeeping and roles for chefs and cooks A and B, along with mechanical technicians and entertainment performers.
Osorio said some technical posts require one year of hospitality experience, while jobs involving direct contact with guests require proficiency in English.
The recruiter said the hiring reflects favorable expectations for the winter season in the Riviera Maya and added that more vacancies will be announced soon.
He said the sector is coming off a difficult year marked by lower tourist traffic, which he attributed to international economic factors and the large volume of sargassum seaweed that reached the Mexican Caribbean.
