Search alert for two missing teenagers in Tulum, Quintana Roo

Tulum, Quintana Roo — The Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office has activated search protocols for two teenagers reported missing in the municipality of Tulum, after they were last seen on May 20, 2026.

An Amber Alert was issued for Giovany Dariel Torres López, 15, while the Alba Protocol was activated for Kiara Priscila Borges Ek, 14. Both missing person reports were filed on May 21.

According to official descriptions, Giovany Dariel Torres López has light skin, a slim build, shoulder-length brown hair, and dark brown eyes. He is approximately 1.65 meters tall and weighs around 70 kilograms. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and red pants, the uniform of the Erick Paolo Martínez school.

Kiara Priscila Borges Ek is Mexican, with brown skin and a slim build. She has straight shoulder-length hair, dark brown eyes, and braces as a distinguishing feature. She is approximately 1.60 meters tall and weighs around 55 kilograms. She was last seen wearing a white blouse and a red plaid skirt, also the uniform of the Erick Paolo Martínez school.

Authorities said both teenagers were last seen in Tulum and are currently considered missing. Search efforts and dissemination of official bulletins remain active.

The State Prosecutor’s Office is asking the public to provide any information that could help locate the minors. Reports can be made by calling 998 881 7150, extension 2130, or through the Búsqueda Quintana Roo platform.
