Cancun, Quintana Roo — Red Mexico Emprende will officially launch its Quintana Roo chapter on July 9, with Sofia Lopez Reyes set to be sworn in as president. The event, to be held at the Universidad del Oriente in Benito Juarez, will also feature a business networking session.

The national network already includes more than 4,000 companies across 11 chapters. Quintana Roo will become the 12th.

The initiative aims to create a meeting point where entrepreneurs, established businesses, professionals, universities, business organizations, and government can connect to drive economic development in Quintana Roo.

A key focus will be linking micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises with larger companies to strengthen local supply chains, particularly in a tourism-driven economy that demands specialized products and services.

“Many entrepreneurs have competitive products but lack market access,” Lopez Reyes said. “What we want is to connect that supply with companies that already need those services and generate business within the entrepreneurial ecosystem itself.”

The network will also promote business formalization through advisory services, training, and connections with public and private institutions, helping more startups access financing, development programs, and commercial opportunities.

Red Mexico Emprende plans to offer ongoing training programs in management, innovation, business security, leadership, and business development for companies of all sizes.
