Cancún, Quintana Roo — A coordinated series of raids across Quintana Roo over the weekend resulted in the arrest of one suspect and the seizure of a large cache of drugs, tactical equipment, and electronic devices, authorities said.

State and federal forces executed five search warrants simultaneously in Cancún, Tulum, and Cozumel, targeting drug distribution networks. The operation was led by the Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office (FGE) with support from the Mexican Army, Navy, National Guard, and local police.

In Cancún, officers raided a home in the Supermanzana 248 neighborhood on Galaxias del Sol Avenue, where they found multiple bags of marijuana and glass objects. Luis Ángel “N” was arrested at the scene.

A second raid in Cancún, in the Villas del Caribe subdivision (Supermanzana 520), uncovered a distribution center containing packaged marijuana, gram scales, customer lists, empty capsules, and a large number of vapes.

In Tulum, two properties in the Nuevo Durango settlement were searched. Officers seized brown and pink pills, white powder, live ammunition, a digital payment terminal, and a video surveillance system used to monitor the area.

The fifth raid took place in Cozumel, in the Centro neighborhood on 25th Avenue South. Authorities confiscated tactical vests, doses of the synthetic drug crystal meth, hashish sheets and powder, electronic cigarettes, ballistic evidence, and bags of hallucinogenic mushrooms.

All five properties were sealed by the FGE. Luis Ángel “N” remains in custody pending a judicial hearing to determine his legal status.
