Mérida, Yucatán — A man known as “El Señor de los Lamborghinis” has been formally charged with money laundering and drug-related offenses, the Federal Prosecutor’s Office (FGR) said Monday.
Justo “N” was arrested weeks ago in Mérida during a federal operation that included searches of several properties in the Yucatán capital, including one in the San Ramón Norte neighborhood. Authorities have linked him to an organized crime group, describing him as a possible financial operator.
The case drew wide attention after investigators seized a collection of high-end vehicles during the raids. Officials reported 15 luxury cars, including four Lamborghinis, three Porsches and a Ferrari, with a combined estimated value of more than 145 million pesos.
Images of a garage full of sports cars had earlier circulated on social media. Federal investigators say Justo “N” was involved in the sale of vehicles and medicines while allegedly helping launder money for a criminal organization.
With the formal charges, the investigation will continue to determine his responsibility in the crimes alleged by the FGR.
The arrest put Mérida at the center of a federal operation targeting alleged financial networks of organized crime, even as Yucatán continues to report lower crime rates than most other Mexican states.
