Cancún, Quintana Roo — The 29th edition of Expo Hotel Cancún, the leading hospitality and tourism business forum in Mexico and the Caribbean, is set to take place from June 2 to 4, 2026, with expectations of surpassing $15 million in economic impact.
Organizers anticipate more than 8,000 specialized buyers and visitors, along with 450 to 500 exhibitors from across Mexico, the United States, Canada, Europe, and Latin America. The 2025 edition generated over $14 million in business during its three-day run, and this year aims for a 20% increase.
The event will be held at the Cancun Center from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
Marco Antonio Vidal, director of Expo Hotel, said new features include a practical training program, a human resources workshop, and for the first time, a Michelin-starred chef showcasing the latest culinary trends. The event will also offer wine tastings featuring Spanish and Mexican wineries.
Expo Hotel serves 70% of the tourism industry and is a key meeting point for major hotel and restaurant chains in Quintana Roo and southeastern Mexico.
“The event has become a business gateway for new suppliers,” Vidal said. “In 2025, 65% of exhibitors were first-time participants from China, France, Spain, the United States, Canada, and all of Mexico.”
The forum’s relevance is heightened in 2026, with more than 30,000 hotel rooms projected for the next two years and the upcoming World Cup acting as a catalyst. Hotel chains attend Expo Hotel to finalize purchases of technology, furniture, food and beverages, design services, and renewable energy ahead of the 2026-2027 high season.
Over 29 years, Expo Hotel has evolved from a regional expo into a key investment barometer for the hospitality sector, generating thousands of direct and indirect jobs each edition, from stand builders to translators for international brands.
