Puerto Aventuras, Quintana Roo — Playa del Carmen Mayor Estefanía Mercado inaugurated a new Economic Development Liaison Office in Puerto Aventuras on Wednesday, aiming to provide residents with easier access to permits, services, training, and support programs without requiring travel to the municipal seat.
“Today we open the new Economic Development Liaison Office, a space designed to bring services, procedures, and opportunities directly to our people, without the need to travel to Playa del Carmen,” Mercado said. “We want the families of Puerto Aventuras to have access to programs, support, advice, and all the services offered by the Secretariat of Economic Development and Investment Attraction.”
The mayor emphasized that her administration will continue strengthening institutional presence across all communities in the municipality to boost economic growth and improve quality of life.
“We continue working to bring government closer to the communities, drive economic growth, and generate more opportunities for the families of Puerto Aventuras,” she said. “When we bring public services closer, we also bring well-being, development, and social justice.”
Estefanía Hernández, Secretary of Economic Development and Investment Attraction, explained that for the first time, Puerto Aventuras residents can complete various procedures in their own community, including license renewals, as well as access training and economic strengthening programs.
“They will no longer have to travel to Playa del Carmen to carry out these procedures. Now they can do them directly here, in addition to accessing self-employment workshops, training, and all the services the Secretariat offers,” Hernández said.
The new office will also serve as a resource center for entrepreneurs, merchants, and citizens interested in enhancing their productive skills through training programs, business networking, and project development support.
Mercado was joined at the event by local officials, municipal public servants, and representatives from various community sectors.
