Cancún, Quintana Roo — Mexican security forces, working with the US Marshals Service, arrested a 25-year-old dual national wanted for murder in the United States.
Officials identified the suspect as Jefferson N., who was sought by international authorities. US officials requested assistance from Quintana Roo authorities after detecting his presence in the state.
The arrest stems from a homicide warrant issued in the Southern District of Texas. After his capture, the suspect was handed over to the appropriate authorities to begin extradition proceedings.
