Eight People Charged With Drug Crimes in Three Quintana Roo Municipalities
Cancún, Quintana Roo — The State Prosecutor’s Office has secured criminal charges against eight individuals for alleged drug-related offenses, following separate operations in three municipalities.
In Benito Juárez, a judge ordered six people to stand trial in individual hearings. Pedro Constantino “N” faces charges for possession of cannabis and methamphetamine with intent to supply. Luis Ángel “N” and María Goreti “N” face similar charges after investigative police operations.
Abigail “N”, Víctor Manuel “N”, and Narciso José “N” were charged with simple possession of cannabis. The court ordered one year of preventive detention for Narciso José “N”.
In Puerto Morelos, Jesús “N” was charged after municipal police arrested him in the Joaquín Zetina Gasca neighborhood for possession of cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana with intent to supply. He remains in preventive detention.
In Tulum, a judge charged Adrián Alejandro “N” with simple possession of marijuana and cocaine after his arrest by municipal police. He will remain in preventive detention while the case proceeds.
