Two men in handcuffs being led by police officers in Cancun

Cancun, Quintana Roo — Police arrested two men on drug charges in Cancun’s Region 227 as part of the ongoing Blindaje Cancun security operation, authorities said.

Officers from the Cancun Police, in coordination with the State Prosecutor’s Office, the National Guard, the Mexican Army, and the Mexican Navy, detained Omar Isaí “N” and Carlos Eduardo “N” after they were found in possession of several bags containing a green, dry substance resembling marijuana and a granular substance believed to be crystal meth.

The suspects and the seized drugs were handed over to the State Prosecutor’s Office, which will conduct further investigations and determine their legal status. The substances will undergo forensic analysis to confirm their composition.

Officials said the arrests are part of the Blindaje Cancun operation, aimed at reducing drug sales and improving security across the city.
