Tulum, Quintana Roo — Tulum will host one of the largest corporate conventions in its history this August, as the municipality prepares to welcome more than 2,200 attendees for CIMA 2026.

The event, organized by Mexican company ISMERELY, will take place from August 15 to 19 and will draw participants from various Mexican states and international markets, according to Tulum Tourism Director Haydee Hernández Pastrana.

CIMA 2026 will feature keynote speeches, training programs, strategic sessions, and team-building activities, bringing together entrepreneurs and business owners from across the country. The convention is expected to generate significant economic impact through hotel occupancy, restaurant spending, transportation, and other tourism services, benefiting local providers.

Hernández emphasized that the convention represents a major opportunity to boost the local economy and strengthen Tulum’s position in the meetings and business tourism sector.

Beyond immediate economic benefits, the event is expected to introduce thousands of visitors to Tulum’s natural, cultural, and gastronomic attractions, turning them into promoters of the destination when they return home and expanding Tulum’s reach into new markets.

With events like CIMA 2026, Tulum continues to diversify its tourism offerings beyond traditional leisure travel, focusing on the congresses, conventions, and incentives segment as a strategy to sustain economic activity and establish itself as a competitive destination in the international market.
