A substantial fire ignited at a junkyard in Puerto Aventuras, located in the Solidaridad municipality of Playa Del Carmen, earlier today.
The fire produced a large column of black smoke visible near the entrance of Puerto Aventuras. This sight triggered a swift response from local emergency services.
Authorities advised residents in the vicinity to keep their windows and doors shut to avoid inhaling the smoke.
Teams from Civil Protection and the Fire Department arrived promptly at the scene to tackle the fire. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries at the location.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time.
