Mexico City — El Buen Fin 2026 opens at midnight on Friday, November 13, launching five days of discounts and promotions from physical stores and online platforms across Mexico.

The 16th edition of the national shopping campaign runs through Tuesday, November 17. Shoppers can expect markdowns on electronics, televisions, cellphones, clothing, footwear, toys, appliances and other goods.

When do the deals start and end?

Under the official calendar, promotions begin at 00:00 on Friday, November 13, and close at 23:59 on Tuesday, November 17. Individual retailers and digital platforms may set their own hours for specific offers, so consumers should check each store’s terms before buying.

The campaign’s official account on X noted that one week remains before the sales begin, as businesses and shoppers prepare.

How to check which stores are participating

Consumers can search the list of registered businesses on the official portal, elbuenfin.org. Participating stores also display a QR code that confirms their enrollment in the campaign.

What Profeco recommends

The Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) advises shoppers to compare prices before making a purchase and to review the terms attached to each offer. It also urges consumers to distinguish between a direct discount on a product’s price and promotions that bundle extra benefits, such as free items or a second piece at a lower cost.

The agency recommends assessing whether a purchase is affordable and avoiding unnecessary spending, particularly when paying with credit cards or financing plans.

Yucatán braces for a busy edition

More than 15,000 companies in Yucatán are expected to take part in El Buen Fin 2026, with organizers projecting an economic impact of about 9 billion pesos.

Ahead of the discounts, Yucatán had already accumulated more than 1,000 complaints over possible financial fraud. Profeco and the National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Users of Financial Services (Condusef) have urged consumers to verify retailers and safeguard their cards and personal data.
