Cancún, Quintana Roo — State prosecutors in Quintana Roo have secured formal charges against eight individuals accused of drug dealing in three municipalities, officials announced.
The charges stem from separate investigations by the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Combatting Drug Sales. Judges issued the rulings after reviewing evidence presented by prosecutors.
In Othón P. Blanco, Yazmín “N” was charged with simple possession of marijuana and ordered held in preventive detention pending trial.
In Playa del Carmen, Saúl “N” and Carlos “N” were charged in separate hearings with simple possession of marijuana and methamphetamine. Both received preventive detention.
In Benito Juárez, Jan Pavel “N” and Alexis Eduardo “N” face charges for cannabis possession. Mauricio “N” was charged with supplying cannabis and was also remanded to preventive detention. Arturo “N” and Christian Carlos “N” were charged with simple possession of cannabis.
