Puerto Morelos Revives Caribbean Beer Festival After 10-Year Hiatus

Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo — The Caribbean Beer Festival has returned to Puerto Morelos after a decade-long absence, featuring 27 breweries, over 150 craft beer brands, and expected daily attendance of 2,000 people.

Mayor Blanca Merari Tziu Muñoz inaugurated the festival at Parque Fundadores, where it will run from April 17 to 19, 2026. The event aims to boost tourism, support the local economy, and provide family-friendly entertainment.

Family Event With Economic Impact

Mayor Tziu Muñoz emphasized that the festival is designed for all ages, featuring a children’s area, entertainment, and a secure environment. The anticipated daily attendance is projected to generate significant economic benefits for local businesses, including restaurants and artisans.

27 Breweries and Over 150 Craft Brands

The festival brings together 27 breweries from across Mexico, offering more than 150 craft beer varieties. It also includes the innovative Barra Dispro, which features over 40 beers on tap from multiple dispensers.

Support for Local Consumption and Producers

Eleven Puerto Morelos restaurants and more than 50 local artisans are participating in the festival, showcasing and selling regional products. This model strengthens the community economy and promotes local talent as part of the tourist experience.

Organizer Eduardo Butrón Sayago stated that the goal is to boost the craft beer industry and create direct benefits for the community. Municipal and state officials noted that such events help position Puerto Morelos as a dynamic, competitive destination capable of hosting national-scale experiences.
