Isla Mujeres to Promote Diving Offer at DEMA Show 2026 in New Orleans

Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo — For the first time, the Isla Mujeres municipal government will promote the island’s diving offer at DEMA Show 2026, one of the world’s leading gatherings for the diving, watersports and specialized travel industries, scheduled for Nov. 3-6 in New Orleans.

The island has appeared at DEMA before, but never with the local government taking part. More than 20 years ago, when the local tourism promotion trust was still operating, individual dive operators from Isla Mujeres traveled to the trade show on their own to market their businesses and, in passing, the destination.

DEMA Show is closed to the general public and reserved for industry professionals. This year’s edition is expected to bring together more than 500 exhibiting companies, over 7,000 professionals and participants from more than 60 countries, making it an important venue for networking, building partnerships and promoting specialized products.

New Dive Guide to Be Unveiled

Representatives of the Isla Mujeres Divers Association and the municipal Tourism Department will attend the show. The delegation will present a new product: the Isla Mujeres Dive Guide, a tool created to concentrate and promote the destination’s diving offer and to show the specialized industry the different experiences available in local waters. The guide details dive sites, depths, technical specifications and other relevant information.

DEMA brings together specialized travel operators, dive centers, certification agencies, resorts, manufacturers, trade media, conservation organizations, tourism offices and destinations, all of which build relationships aimed at generating dive travel.
