Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — A recent visit by former Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa to Xcaret has revealed that a dancer accused of sexual harassment is still working at the park, contradicting statements from the park and his dance group.
The accuser, animal trainer Paulina Chávez, said she was dismissed from her job at the park after speaking out about the harassment. She identified the dancer as Abraham Ulises G., also known as Abraham González.
“The presence of Guillermo Ochoa in Xcaret has just contributed a relevant piece of evidence to the investigation of my complaint,” Chávez said. “He is currently on the park’s grounds, which confirms that my alleged aggressor continues to carry out work activities inside the park, contrary to what Xcaret and Xipe Tótec told prosecutors.”
Chávez shared a story on social media showing the alleged harasser in costume, an image captured by Ochoa during his visit. She said the coordinator of the dance group, identified as Adriana, had testified that González no longer worked there.
“That’s why she reported me, and now it’s clear he does work there. But more important is that I no longer work there. Because of my complaint, Xcaret decided to let me go,” Chávez said.
Chávez said she hopes the images shared by Ochoa will help her case, as they show González is still employed despite the complaint filed with the Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office.
