Cozumel, Quintana Roo — The Cozumel Parks and Museums Foundation (FPMC) will extend operating hours at its main tourist attractions on four Sundays this summer, aiming to boost recreational offerings during the vacation season.

The initiative, part of the “Have Fun With Us on Vacation” campaign, will open the doors on July 26 and August 2, 9, and 16 at the Chankanaab Natural Park, Punta Sur Ecotourism Park, the Island Museum, and the San Gervasio Archaeological Zone Tourist Stop.

FPMC Director General Juanita Alonso Marrufo said the sites offer experiences combining nature, history, culture, and recreation, strengthening Cozumel’s appeal as a tourist destination during the summer break.

Revenue from entrance fees goes toward environmental conservation, education, scholarships, culture, and social programs that directly benefit local families, she added.

Cozumel residents can enter free with a valid FPMC credential, which is good for two years. The foundation also encouraged visitors to check available packages, promotions, and preregistration options for summer activities.
