Cozumel, Quintana Roo — The Foundation of Parks and Museums of Cozumel (FPMC) has successfully closed the first semester of its free workshops at the BiblioAvion Gervasio, a space dedicated to promoting learning, creativity, and community interaction for all ages.
The closing event featured artistic performances, exhibitions, and the presentation of certificates to participants. Family and friends attended to see the成果 of months of training in various artistic and cultural disciplines.
Fifty students from the Latin Dance Workshop presented “Rhythms that Enchant,” showcasing choreographies of vallenato, bachata, and merengue performed by children, young people, adults, and seniors.
Students from Textile Painting, Drawing and Painting, and the Paper World workshop displayed their semester-long projects, reflecting the skills and creativity developed during the program.
Dianela Cervantes Chi, director of Pedagogy and Social Assistance (PAS), represented FPMC General Director Juanita Alonso Marrufo at the ceremony, accompanied by councilor Alejandro Queb Franco. They presented certificates and congratulated participants for their dedication.
Officials emphasized that the workshops not only develop artistic abilities but also strengthen values such as discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and self-confidence, while fostering intergenerational coexistence and social cohesion.
FPMC General Director Juanita Alonso Marrufo stated that these spaces are part of the institution’s vision to bring culture, art, and education to the community, in line with the New Agreement for Welfare and Development of Quintana Roo promoted by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa.
