A public transport bus operated by the SEA company was involved in a collision with a taxi in the Hotel Zone of Cancun. The accident took place at 3 p.m. at kilometer 2.5, near the Imperial Las Perlas hotel.
The taxi driver had slowed down to allow a tourist to cross the road, which led to the bus hitting the taxi from behind. The impact caused the bus to veer onto the central median. Fortunately, none of the bus passengers were injured in the incident.
The taxi was carrying national tourists, who were evaluated at the scene by paramedics from a private ambulance service. They did not require hospitalization.
Traffic officers were on the scene to manage the increased traffic in the area following the accident.
