Amber Alert Issued for 6-Year-Old Boy Missing in Tulum
Tulum, Quintana Roo — Authorities have activated an Amber Alert for a 6-year-old boy who disappeared in Tulum, prompting a search effort across the region.
Miguel Alberto Méndez Pérez was last seen on July 9 in the municipality, according to the official bulletin. His absence was reported the following day, leading the Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office to issue the alert and request public assistance.
The boy is described as Mexican, with brown skin, a robust build, short straight black hair, and dark brown eyes. He stands approximately 1.20 meters (3 feet 11 inches) tall and weighs about 30 kilograms (66 pounds). He has a distinctive scar on his forehead. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing brown shorts, a lime green T-shirt with an Angry Birds print, and blue sandals.
The prosecutor’s office urged the public to share only the official alert to avoid spreading rumors or unverified information that could hinder the investigation.
Anyone with information on Miguel Alberto’s whereabouts is asked to call 984 873 0163, a line set up by the State Prosecutor’s Office to receive tips related to the case.
