Cancún, MX. — In the context of the International Year of Volunteering for Sustainable Development, Aguakan participated in the Ninth State Environmental Education Forum in Quintana Roo, under the motto “Sharing good environmental education practices.” This space was oriented toward the integrative dissemination of good practices and learning in environmental education and water culture, with the objective of strengthening conservation in the state.
The forum aimed to disseminate, in an intersectoral manner, experiences in environmental education aligned with the GETECCA Management Program 2025–2030. These experiences focused on strengthening capacities to promote an ecosystemic vision, linking educational actions with the community, communicating and disseminating GETECCA’s actions, as well as fostering social participation and environmental governance.
The event featured the participation of environmental education experts, including Aguakan, as well as representatives from the private sector, researchers, officials from the three levels of government, members of organized society, GETECCA members, teachers, students, and the general public.
Through its participation, Aguakan reaffirmed its commitment to environmental education, water culture, and sustainable development, promoting spaces for dialogue, learning, and collaboration for the benefit of the environment and the communities of Quintana Roo.
