Mexico City — Five young wrestlers from Quintana Roo are competing in the Pan American U15 Wrestling Championships, which run through July 26 at the Mexican Olympic Committee (COM) facilities.
The delegation, supported by the Quintana Roo Sports Commission (CODEQ), includes two female and three male athletes. They were selected by the Federation of Medalists of Associated Wrestling (FEMELA) to represent both their state and Mexico at one of the continent’s most important youth competitions.

- Darani Acosta Maldonado – 54 kg (women’s freestyle)
- Adrián Granados Oliva – 57 kg (Greco-Roman)
- Jeremy López Cetzal – 68 kg (Greco-Roman)
- Eduardo Leciano Mut – 54 kg (men’s freestyle)
The team is led by coach William Portal Marrero and was accompanied on their trip by Vianey Quijano, president of the State Wrestling Association, who handled the administrative arrangements.
The Pan American U15 Championships bring together the best young wrestlers from across the Americas, offering the Quintana Roo athletes a chance to gain experience and compete on an international stage.
