Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo — The municipal government of Isla Mujeres, led by Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde, is organizing a mascot costume race — the Carrera de Botargas — to promote family togetherness, sports, and local entrepreneurship.
The event will take place on Saturday, August 22, at 5:00 p.m. at the Domo Bicentenario in the La Gloria neighborhood. Participants include businesses, institutions, and community organizations, all represented by costumed mascots competing in a fun, creative race.
