Two Teenagers Arrested in Cancun With Over 150 Drug Doses

Cancun, Quintana Roo — Police arrested two teenagers identified as Marcos German and Emmanuel in the Villas Otoch neighborhood (region 247) during a joint operation by the Public Security Department, the Mexican Navy, and the Mexican Army.

According to the official report, officers on patrol saw the two males exchanging small plastic bags containing dry green vegetation resembling marijuana. The intervention took place at the intersection of Privada 6, Privada Eucalipto, and Paseo Eucalipto.

A search led to the seizure of 58 bags of suspected marijuana, 47 doses of a substance resembling cocaine, and 52 bags of crystalline fragments similar to crystal meth. Authorities also confiscated a gram scale, a Samsung cellphone, 60 pesos in cash, a beige cloth bag, and a black shoulder holster.

The two teenagers were handed over to the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Crimes Committed by Adolescents, which will determine their legal status.
