Tulum, Quintana Roo — Two men were arrested on drug charges Thursday afternoon during a joint security operation in Tulum, where authorities seized more than 78 doses of marijuana and crack.

Officials said the arrests were part of coordinated efforts between local, state, and federal security forces, including the Tulum Public Security and Citizen Protection Department, the Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office, and the Mexican Army.

The suspects were identified as Alfredo “N,” alias “Fred,” 28, from Veracruz, and Jacinto “N,” alias “Chinto,” 23, from Chiapas.

During the operation, officers confiscated over 78 wrappers containing substances resembling marijuana and crack.

Both individuals were handed over to the State Prosecutor’s Office, which will conduct the investigation and determine their legal status.

The operation is part of ongoing anti-drug trafficking patrols in various parts of Tulum.
