Canaco Chetumal-Tulum Calls on Tourism Businesses to Join ‘La Gran Escapada 2026’

CANACO Chetumal-Tulum officials announce the call for tourism businesses to join La Gran Escapada 2026.

Chetumal, Quintana Roo — The National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism (CANACO SERVYTUR) Chetumal-Tulum has called on hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, transport providers and other tourism service operators in southern Quintana Roo to join the second edition of “La Gran Escapada 2026,” a national strategy aimed at boosting domestic tourism through promotions and discounts across Mexico.

The announcement followed a simultaneous press conference held in all 32 Mexican states by the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (CONCANACO SERVYTUR) and the federal Tourism Secretariat, marking the official start of registration for participating businesses.

Representing CANACO Chetumal-Tulum President Adrienne Díaz Villanueva, First Vice President Diana Natalhy Peraza Cárdenas and Vice President of Tourism Promotion José Blanco Mac-Liberty attended the event. Peraza highlighted that the initiative represents a significant opportunity to promote regional tourism offerings and strengthen the local economy.

“CONCANACO SERVYTUR Mexico, led by Dr. Octavio de la Torre, held an important simultaneous press conference in the 32 states to present the second edition of La Gran Escapada 2026, the so-called ‘Good End of Tourism,’ which seeks to strengthen domestic tourism and promote destinations and experiences throughout the country,” Peraza said.

She added that CANACO Chetumal-Tulum urges tourism businesses to join this national platform before the registration deadline. “We make a cordial call to tourism businesses and enterprises to join this great national platform and register before June 17. The promotions and offers will be available from June 18 to 21 so that all Mexicans can take advantage of them,” she stated.

“La Gran Escapada, the Good End of Tourism” aims to encourage domestic travel through accessible packages, promotions and discounts, allowing families to plan vacations and tourism experiences in advance and with confidence. Benefits for participating businesses include national promotion of their services, increased digital presence, attraction of new customers and a boost in tourist flow to local destinations.

The national strategy seeks to strengthen domestic tourism ahead of the FIFA World Cup. Participation in the platform is free and forms part of a coordinated effort between the business sector and tourism authorities to bolster the internal market.

According to organizers, the first edition of the program generated an economic impact of over 40 billion pesos and sold more than 108,000 tourism experiences, in addition to achieving 250 million media and social media impressions. This year, the strategy aims to surpass those results by leveraging the international context of the World Cup and the growing participation of tourism businesses from different regions of the country.
