Tulum, Quintana Roo — The municipality of Tulum has announced the launch of the “Tulum Fut Fest,” a community festival designed to bring families and fans together to support the Mexican national team during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The festival will feature live broadcasts of Mexico’s matches, recreational activities, local food stalls, and family entertainment at two main public venues. Officials said the initiative aims to strengthen social cohesion, promote the use of public spaces, and create a safe environment for all ages to enjoy the tournament.

Municipal Palace to Host Opening and Mexico’s Debut

The first major event will take place on June 11 at the Municipal Palace esplanade, which will be transformed into a soccer fan zone with giant screens for the opening ceremony and Mexico’s first match. Activities will begin at 11:00 a.m., including recreational games and family-friendly spaces.

The municipal government invited residents to wear the national colors and join the collective celebration, hoping to make Tulum one of the main gathering points for soccer fans in Quintana Roo.

Parque Dos Aguas to Host Subsequent Group Stage Matches

The excitement will continue during the group stage with events scheduled for June 18 and 24 at the Domo del Parque Dos Aguas. In addition to match broadcasts, the venue will offer recreational activities, children’s entertainment, and community participation initiatives.

Organizers said these gatherings aim to create meeting spaces where sports serve as a tool for social integration and collective identity.

Local Gastronomy and Security Measures

A key attraction of the Tulum Fut Fest will be the participation of local entrepreneurs and food vendors offering regional dishes. The event also seeks to boost the local economy and generate opportunities for small businesses during the World Cup.

Authorities announced special security operations by the Public Security Department and Civil Protection to ensure orderly access, constant surveillance, and safe conditions for all attending families.
